Thanks for the report. Could you follow the procedure "For users [users-admin]" at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingGnomeSystemTools and attach the resulting files here? Also, I'd need you to run 'sudo killall polkitd; sudo /usr/lib/policykit-1/polkitd' before you carry out the other actions, and attach the output of this command here too.

Please reproduce this until you get the error message, else the information won't really be useful.

I can't seem to reproduce the error :(
I experienced it a couple of times one day (that day I couldn't make it work
just a single time. The error was consistent). Now it never shows. Maybe it
disappeared after a reboot.

There's an error in the log file you provided, though. Could you check when it exactly happens (e.g. when pressing OK for the password dialog...)?

How can I show live content of a file (that is, the view is to be updated every time something is written to the file) ?
Then I can make a screen recording.

You can just open the file after each time you validate a dialog by clicking a button, and for example note somewhere what line was the last at that point, and then mark this in the file by introducing comments. You may also run the commands in a terminal without the "&> stb-users.log" part, so that the output is printed to the console: then you can type what you want to remember where you are, and finally use copy/paste to a file.

(To record you screen, you can use gtk-recordmydesktop, but that would really make this painful to read for me.)
