Hi Tapani, thanks for taking the time to file this bug report and help us make Ubuntu better.
The relevant error from DpkgTerminalLog.txt is here:
Setting up bind9 (1:9.7. 0.dfsg. P1-1ubuntu0. 1) ...
#
* Stopping domain name service... bind9
resolvconf: Error: /etc/resolv.conf must be a symlink
invoke-rc.d: initscript bind9, action "restart" failed.
dpkg: error processing bind9 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
It would appear that the resolvconf package requires /etc/resolv.conf to be a symlink, and will do so upon installation.
You may want to uninstall resolvconf, or fix it by changing /etc/resolv.conf back to a symlink.
Either way, this is not because of a bug in bind9 or resolvconf, so closing as Invalid.
