Thanks for your bug report. What were you doing when gaim crashed? Was that the full gaim crash file? Could you try to attach the full log next time?

Although the backtrace now already indicates an aspell bug.

Which locale do you use and which aspell dictionaries do you have installed?

It's different from bug 64637.

I didnt do any special thing, the gaim was online on msn network and i didnt use it, it was sitting in the system tray area and then crashed once.

It was the full gaim crash file.

Today i installed the aspell-hu package and no problem at all. If i get the problem again, i will send bugreport again.

Could gaim be crashing if aspell does not have a dictionary matching the locale?

It normally just fails to work in such a case.

Etana: strange that your crash files don't contain Coredumps.

Toby82: your backtrace is very neat but about a different issue. Can you file a separate bug report about that? (I retraced your crash report with some more debug symbols - make sure to attach it at the new bug.)

Hum... I'm not happy with this being a duplicate. I think this happened, because Etana's second backtrace was unrelated (not in connection to aspell) at all.
