activate shortcut should also hide synapse

The activate keyboard shortcut doesn't work for hiding synapse. This is a bug because users expect the keystroke that opened Synapse to also close it.

Please can you tell me what window manager are you using? and maybe also the distribution :)
Also I didn't understand: are you seeing synapse in the window list?

I think that the problem here is the inability to make Synapse disappear through the keyboard shortcut used to call it. Imagine, I want to open Firefox. I press Ctrl + Space, then I look at my docky/panel and I see that it's already opened. So, I want to make Synapse disappear. If I click Ctrl + Space (I can click Esc, I know), the current synapse instance disappears, but it simply is replaced by another one. Do could be summoned and "unsummoned" by using the same keyboard shortcut, IIRC.

This's the issue raised in the bug, I think.

I can confirm that this is a necessity, it is clumsy to have to reach for the mouse or esc key to close synapse when you decide not to select anything

It disappears from the window list but stays visible on screen when i press ctrl+space. I am using metacity on ubuntu 10.10.

i have just compiled the latest revision (241), but i still have this bug.
if synapse is open, when i press ctrl+space, it doesn't disappear, but disappears and re-appears
