Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Compiz crashes, can't restart it after the crash, ie compiz --replace keeps crashing. Seems to be a buggy damage event that keeps crashing code in the composite plugin. This happens quite often on my system, using a radeon card.

For me, the seg-fault was caused by not having installed the compiz-kde package. Once it was installed, compiz began to run without issues. Of course, the Compiz default settings are now to have everything turned off, including window decorations, so even once it began working, it didn't look like it was working. Anyhow, problem solved or me. No more segfaults.

I've not seen this issue myself and nobody has had this bug for a while so I'm going to mark it invalid unless someone can give me instructions on how to reproduce it with the exact same stacktrace.
