Bug Description
I've a problem with audio of my pc (64 bit and with Ubuntu 10.10) then I installed alsa-driver-

I am having the same problem and get this message
There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks.
That being said I have installed other software and drivers with no problem.
I am running Ubuntu 10.10 32bit alongside Windows 7 64bit on a Dell Inspiron One 19
I hope someone can figure out while the package will not install.
