Empathy - "no error specified"

Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

When I try to login with my two MSN accounts I get a disconnected symbol and a text box saying "no error specified".

MSN accounts do not log in.

Both accounts are set with server as "messenger.hotmail.com" and port as "1863". These are default values.

thanks for taking time to report this bug and helping to make ubuntu better. this bug has been fixed in ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 but the fix for 9.10 is not yet released. in the mean time you can try the solution suggested here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/papyon/+bug/663670/comments/31
