Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-evdev

If I use a keyborard shorcut (I mean a key as control the volume or open a calculator, these "predefined" keys), it doesn't work if there is a menu opened (neither if it is the applications menu, the sound menu..... one of this panel's included menu make the keyboard "speed" buttons unusable.

I can't update to Trusty actually because of this bug : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1268215 But as soon as I can I will retry.

Hey PEIGNOT,

Hi, have you had a chance to test if this bug is still present in natty?

If it does (and if you're the original reporter), please boot into natty
and run the command:

  apport-collect <bug-number>

which will update the bug with fresh logs and tag the bug as affecting
natty. (It is best to run this right after reproducing the problem.)

PEIGNOT Kévin, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-input-evdev REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
