Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

On Ubuntu 10.10, Thunderbird 3.1.6 hangs when clicking "Write" button, displaying "Unresponsive script" chrome://editor/content/editor.js:1094 (see attachment). If the script is stopped, message cannot be composed because it is impossible to enter text in the body field; if the script is continued, Thunderbird hangs forever, showing the same message over and over.

This is curious because on my system there are four user accounts (say user1, user2, user3, user4). This started happening one week ago to user2 only. Completely removing ~user2/.thunderbird/ folder does not solve the issue, neither reinstalling Thunderbird by executing: sudo apt-get install --reinstall thunderbird.

Screenshot translation from Italian to English:
Warning: Unresponsive script
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: chrome://editor/content/editor.js:1094

I have just discovered that composing message in plain text rather than HTML solves the issue. User2 indeed was the only one with "Compose message as HTML" enabled.
