Puede ejecutar en el terminal (Aplicaciones>Accesorios>Terminal), pedirá la contraseña que no se mostrará por motivos de seguridad:
sudo dpkg --configure -a

sudo apt-get clean && sudo dpkg --configure -a && sudo apt-get install -f

Creo que tiene que escribir la letra y, después pulsar intro. Si no funcionó, prueba con la letra s.

esto es lo que me sale y ya probe con todo lo que me dijiste a pie de la letra y aun no logro hacer funcionar a java y una cosa mas si le doy a cerrar me dice que Aún hay un proceso ejecutándose en esta terminal. Cerrar la terminal lo matará.
