Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
This may be a bug in Nautilus
See http://
Twice already, the desktop has switched to showing this behavior:
The desktop does not show any files or folders. When I try to drag a file there from Nautilus the "drop" of drag-and-drop fails.
It is not accepting any input -- e.g., if I right click it, I get no context menu.
Yet the ~/Desktop folder appears fine in Nautilus; there are some files and folders there; and I can move new ones there.
I ran gconf-editor /apps/nautilus/
The checkbox was checked, i.e. value true. I unchecked it; then rechecked it. The problem went away.
The problem occurred twice. I don't know what caused it.\
