Add Sony-Ericsson Xperia X8 (Android phone)

My sony ericsson xperia x8 is currently not recognized as a media player.

I have added a new mpi and altered udev rules (took xperia x10/mini as a starting point).

I've just bought this smartphone and I've a "music" (vs "Music") folder on provided SD card with preloaded music files. I'll try those patches.

johnnys, I suspect the udev patch is wrong: to me lsusb reports

stupid /me... android phones have a secondary USB ID when debug mode is active.

I have this too, it's however FAT32 filesystem, so it doesn't matter.

Forgot to mention, we fixed upstream with a little different mpi file...
