Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution-data-server

To reproduce:

1. In evolution, add a groupwise calendar
2. Bring up the gnome calendar panel applet showing your appointments for the day and such
3. Click the date again to put the panel applet away

expected result: applet goes away with no perceived latency

observed result: applet remains on screen and CPU utilization goes to 100% for 10 or 15 seconds; then applet goes away and CPU usage returns to normal

The symptoms and such are quite similar to:

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.

No, I don't see this particular problem any longer with Natty.

I still see other performance problems with evolution calendar; I hope
to report them separately, once I narrow them down to reproducible bugs.
