Evolution randomly hangs when pressing Send button

Evolution randomly hangs when pressing the Send button. This did not happen with the version of Evolution included in 10.04. The only recourse is to use --force-shutdown to close Evolution and restart (often losing all or part of the email content).

Is this bug collecting dust? I have to forcibly close evolution 6-7 times a day.

I can report that issue while trying to close down Evolution the usual way hitting the Exit button. Parameter --force-shutdown helps in my case as well. This is a really nasty bug, since it hampers working efficiency 6-10 times a day. I suppose it has something to do with the exchange integration (exchange-evolution) package i use.

Clubber, I do not use the exchange-storage plug-in so that is probably not related. Does the software ever hang when you are simply trying to send an email? It seems related to the address book somehow as it also happens when Evolution is trying to auto-complete while I type a recipient email address.

Just started getting this problem today, seemingly out of the blue. If there's any debugging information I can supply that would help resolve this, I'll be glad to help.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? It is fixed in 11.04... however it seems quite frustrating to have to wait for an entirely new release to get a fix.
