Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

I upgraded my system from 10.04 to 10.10 using the kubuntu alternate CD. Mythtv and all of it's components were removed during the installation. It appears to stem from this from the apt.log:
Removing mythtv-frontend rather than change libqt4-webkit
Looking for libqt4-webkit, I found:
Fixing libqtwebkit4 via remove of libqt4-webkit

So it appears that libqt4-webkit was upgraded to libqtwebkit4, which left mythtv with a broken dependency. The trouble is that the target version of mythtv depends on libqtwebkit4, so it's not clear to me why mythtv was removed instead of upgraded. (I have a couple of other machines also running mythtv that survived the upgrade without issue).

I also had a problem whereby my network connection was broken after the upgrade. I changed some udev naming rules and seem to have resolved that. I only mention this in case it is another clue.

I think that everything else survived the upgrade but is there anything that is of concern? (There are lots of "Removing" entries in the log but to me they look benign or were followed by an install later on).
