Xgrid support

Why not add a form of xgrid support (mac) ? Much of the stitching process can be done in parallel.

Xgrid is an integral part of OSX from 10.4 on, is easy to enable and is, not anymore, osx server dependent. There's even linux, win32 and java clients floating around.
Shouldn;t be too complicated to create, actually, even if it were only an xgrid script generator.

Hi, I think it is unlikely that we would switch from Makefiles to a proprietary system.

However it seems very practical to manage the current Makefile stitching system with xgrid as it is entirely command-line based. This would be an interesting project.

is there any documentation on how exactly the stitching process works ? Can anybody give me a short run through how/where I should start looking in the xcode project? I tried compiling it on 10.5 & 10.6, however I ran into too many errors.

Is Xgrid still a thing with current OSX/macOS versions?
Wikipedia says that "Apple discontinued Xgrid with OS X v10.8 (Mountain Lion)"

So if xgrid is discontinued by Apple I close this feature request.
