Bug Description

I installed italian language on edgy, update manager stopped working, doesn't install anymore updates.
sudo update-manager from a shell gives a : failed to initialize dbus error
tried to:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall dbus
sudo /etc/init.d/dbus start
sorted no effect..
rebooting didn't fix the problem.

no more possible to update with update-manager once this problem occurs.

(i don't know if should be considered a security problem but most ppl will stop updating once update-manager fails)

i read the 67112, at me seems different.
my update-manager works correctly, but doesn't install anything..
i click on install, it seems to work, goes shaded for a couple second, then back to the main page.
doesn't try to install anything.
apt-get upgrade works perfectly, as well as aptitude.
