Bug Description

Binary package hint: qcad

The qcad package in Lucid is missing /usr/share/applications/qcad.desktop and thus doesn't appear in the applications menu, it has to be started from a terminal or command runner dialogue.

After installing qcad from software center there is no way a normal user can find out how to run the program.

Maverick and Natty ship a .desktop file.

qcad 2.0.5.0-1+090318-2 amd64

Attached the qcad.desktop file from Natty. For 10.04 users:
1) copy this file to your desktop
2) in a terminal. type:
   sudo cp ~/Desktop/qcad.desktop /usr/share/applications/
This copies the file to the directory where all applications menu items are located.

Thanks - this is fixed in Natty, and QCAD is replaced in Oneiric with LibreCAD - so I'm marking this as fix released.

Changed in qcad (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released
