Bug Description
mhwaveedit 1.4.15-2ubuntu1 on Lucid has a serious bug with ALSA playback. Please backport maverick's 1.4.20. See the top of the maverick changelog,

The problem is that the maverick version requires a newer autotools-dev package that Lucid doesn't have

For the record, I have an updated mhwaveedit which doesn't crash on playback in my PPA,

After backporting autotools-dev, it was a trivial no-change backport for mhwaveedit.
