Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Not entirely sure this is in compiz, but the setting for "Raise On Click" is in the "CompizConfig Settings Manager", so it gets the blame.

I have "Raise On Click" unchecked. I occasionally have a random window jump to the front when I click on a different window.
I have not found a way to reproduce this yet.

The latest example:
I had Myth Front End in a small window on top with focus. Partly covered by that was Firefox. Partly covered by both other windows was Thunderbird. No other windows were open.
I clicked on the "Reload" button in Firefox.
That should have caused a focus change, but not any changes in the stack of windows.
What happened is that Firefox got focus and reloaded the web page, but Thunderbird jumped to the front. Thunderbird should have stayed where it was.

Today:
I had Update Manager on top of Thunderbird, with focus on Thunderbird.
I started Firefox. Firefox needed to update Ghostary. I clicked on ok. When the update window disappeared, Thunderbird jumped on top of Update Manager. Then Firefox opened overlapping Thunderbird (Firefox and Update Manger windows did not intersect).

do you get the same behavior using Natty? Please test and comment back, thanks.

Sorry I took so long to reply. This issue does not happen often, so it took this long for me to catch another occurrence.
I had Thunderbird open, partly overlapped by Firefox with the Skype main window on top of Thunderbird.
When a skype video call ended, and the video call window closed, Thunderbird jumped on top of both Firefox and the skype main window.

So yes this is still a problem. This is running on a clean install of Ubuntu 11.04 using the default open source drivers for Radeon cards.
