This is not a problem with the printer. I get it on other computers and other appliications, e.g., mozilla firefox, google.com, launchpad, kde.org, etc.

This problem is not limited to just any operating system because it has occured on Intrepid, my first linux OS.

You wont know it from looking at my comments here, but each line has had to be corrected, not once, but several times while writing this. I am surprised no one else has reported the problem.

I suppose that means that this is an Ubuntu problem. Our apologies for the confusion; the bug was mistakenly reported as being a problem with Launchpad itself. I'll re-target the bug to Ubuntu.

It's still not clear to me what this bug report is about, but it appears to be for Ubuntu.

Ken, I'm going to have to close the bug on Launchpad Itself and add it on Ubuntu. You may receive an email saying that the bug on Launchpad has been marked Invalid; that doesn't mean that the bug report as a whole has been marked Invalid, only its association with the Launchpad project.

If you're still having the problem, could you add the following information for the benefit of the Ubuntu people?
 * What do you mean by "printline"?
 * What computers do you get this on, exactly? It sounds like it may possibly be some kind of keyboard problem.
 * What operating systems do you have this problem with? I see you name Ubuntu's Intrepid Ibex release as one—any other versions or systems?
 * When it comes to applications you name Mozilla Firefox, but the rest are all websites that you would visit in a web browser (such as Mozilla Firefox). Have you tried any other applications besides the web browser?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

1): When I type a line, a paragraph, fill in the blanks of a form, I expect to have clean copy. However, the machine skipoundars and needs cleaning up before I send it on to you just like in this lineski.more

To answer your question, all I do is type comments, or type a letter and the problem occurs.

2): I expect clean copy that I do not have to correct all the time. This particular line required ten or
  more corrections.

3): The problem is so acute I hate to think what would happen if. I had to type up a term paper in linux because this problem has occurs in every distro that has ever been installed on this computer. Intrepid was the first distro installed, as well as Jaunty, Karmic, Lucid, and now, Maverick. Current Op System is Shackbox Ubuntu 10.10. (Shackbox Air Amateur Radio Linux).

Linux is installed on three computers with the same problem occurring. The problem occurs in every application installed and used in the course of business. Example: OpenOffice Word Processor.

Hum. I wonder... do you have a touchpad? If so, you may be unintentionally hitting the touchpad with your fingers while you type.
