Bug Description

Binary package hint: fcitx

Hello,
fcitx ships data/pyPhrase.org which is not DFSG free, the document in doc/pinyin.txt describe (in Chinese and in GBK encodinga) that this file can only be used in fcitx, which is not DFSG free.

The upcoming upstream major release (4.0) will solve this problem, but older versions should be moved to multiverse. I'll request when a DFSG free version available.

Debian BTS has received the following bugs to make sure it is being removed from stable/testing/unstable: 603569 603570 603571.

Thanks.

Does it need to be removed or could it be moved to Multiverse?

3.6.4 has solved the license problem, but FTBFS on natty (DSO linking), I will try to fix this in time.
Thanks.

Thanks Fabrice, as in my reply to Debian Bug #605148, the FTBFS problem with binutils-gold should be fixed in newly accepted version 1:4.0.0-1, so this bug report could be closed for Ubuntu natty.

But should we still do something to move the package in other releases (Lucid/Maverick and other supported ones) from universe to multiverse? Or can we ship 1:3.6.4-1ubuntu1 via SRU for those release?
