some dvd content not playing some crashes am attempting to load gstreamer

  basically Movie Player isn't working well or not at all, sometymes just shutting off after a couple seconds of black screen. added gstreamer pkgs am on a toshiba laptop amd x2 3100 radeon graphics installed ubuntu 9.10-64. i'm not ripping dvd but would like to play them. Foamy the Squirrel at youtube doesn't play either. @illwillpress it does. ????????? Oh thanks for the help with heat issue. this machine runs cool.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue?
