Bug Description

Hello!

I'm working on a slide-show project and have my scanned files distributed over the 4 folders in order to not clutter workspace area.

However, when open a certain folder add a new clip to the timeline which goes over the edge of the present timeline, after adding a clip, Openshot closes the folder, so I've to open it again when wanting to add another clip which is clearly disturbing.

Sincerely,
Gour

Here are the steps...

1) crete a new project (consisting of e.g. set of images)

2) move all the images into 'slides' folder

3) set duration of the project to e.g. 3minutes (in order not to have to add too many slides onto timeline)

4) open 'slides' folder and add slides one after another onto timeline. (the status is displayed in shot-1.png where the timeline along with the images in 'slides' folder are visible)

5) adding another image to the timeline which goes beyong the duration of the project results in shot-2.png (slide is put onto timeline, but OpenShot closed 'slides' folder and put me into the 'root' of the project file and in order to add new image to the timeline, one has to re-open 'slides' folder which is cumbersome.

Is it more clear now?

Sincerely,
Gour

Thanks for the clarification, I can see what you mean now.

Problem occurs when the timeline is being extended, a refresh of the project tree is being called somewhere.

Now I see that the same happens - project tree is refreshed - even when I remove some files from the project and one is put in the 'root'. So, it's a more general problem of refreshing the project tree and being thrown to the root.

Fixed, and patch attached!
The file tree isn't refreshed anymore when the timeline is extended.
