Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-10-generic

Tried to install Edgy Eft RC. LiveCD booted OK, and ran -- but couldn´t install without locking up, so I had to use the Alternate Install CD. When booted from the LiveCD the linux-restricted-modules-2.6.17-10-generic package was installed, but it did not get installed from the Alternate InstallCD. This resulted in missing some critical files for the ipw3945 wireless driver.

So, this is really a lack of installing a package, not really a bug in a package itself -- but wasn´t sure where to report it.

Thank you for your bug report.
On final edgy live cd the restricted modules are not installed by default too.
I am marking this as duplicate of bug 62452

Thanks Peter
