Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

I have 10.10 32 bit on my USUS Eee PC. I use Totem to stream MP3 from the net. If I close the lid on my netbook while streaming and it goes to sleep when I open it back up the next day it bypasses the login screen and goes right into my account with asking for my password. If Totem is not running when Iclose the lid I get password prompted after slepp.

I installed it with encrypt home folder and I see a quick message Totem open or not, that says at the end unknown user?

Hope this helps.
Glenn

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
