Chat window is automatically resizing the window out of the screen

Bug Description
Binary package hint: empathy
I'm using Empathy with IRC, and when entering a long sentence in the input field in the chat room, the window is resized outside of the screen. This does not happen when chatting with individual people in IRC, or other person-to-person chat windows.
The behaviour is incredibly annoying, and I hope it gets fixed soon.
