Bug Description
Ubuntu 6.10 "Edgy Eft"
Trying to copy a large file (the Service Pack 2 of Windows XP) to my USB flash memory, it begins the copy but some seconds later it stops with this error (from console):
"cp: scrittura di `/media/
(translated from Italian: ""cp: writing of `/media/
... and pops up a message saying the disk wasn't correctly disconnected (so it seems like the system loses the connection with the drive).
Filesystem is FAT32.
On Windows XP the flash drive works fine.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.
The issue that you reported is one that should be reproductable with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Gutsy Gibbon. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the actively developed release. You can find out more about the development release at [WWW] http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/
