Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

The monitor name for this display comes up as a single special character in gnome-display-properties. This monitor is made by Tyco Electronics, which may be part of its full name.

When launched from command line, the following errors are visible:

It seems the name reported changes everytime, but still is garbled.
