Actual result:

Simon,

Can you describe your setup in more detail? Are you running this on an actual Windows system or in VMware?

It fails when running on Windows Small Business Server 2003 under VMware.

It succeeds when running on Windows 2000 Server on a real machine.

Have you tried this with an Ubuntu CD on the same setup? mdz reported that it works for him on VMware+WinXP

Yes, the Ubuntu CD works, as illustrated in Testing/Current. It's just that Kubuntu's doesn't.

It seems to work now. It may have been a VMware issue in the original test.
