Bug Description

Kubuntu 6.10RC Installer

I have several partitions (up to hda10). When I choose to install in a different partition (the installer chooses hda3 by default as root) a message comes up saying:
"No root file system".
Installation is therefore not possible!

Also the installer actually freezes prior to reading the partitions for some 20 seconds or so.

Neither of these happen with Kubuntu 6.06

Assigning to ubiquity since this is most probably the Desktop CD installer. Please reply if this is an issue with the alternate CD, so that I can assign to debian-installer instead.

Not sure if this is a duplicate of Bug #67264 or not (as that's on the Ubuntu LiveCD, not the Kubuntu CD... Still similar situation: reshuffling existing partitions, ubiquity refuses to progress...
