Video format in DVD profile should be VOB instead of dvd

FFmpeg has 2 possible formats that can be used by a DVD: dvd and vob.

Output from $ ffmpeg -formats
----------------------------------------
dvd - MPEG-2 PS format (DVD VOB)
vob - MPEG-2 PS format (VOB)

So, OpenShot used to use the "vob" format for our DVD exports, but the author of Bombono DVD submitted a patch that changed that format to "dvd" instead of "vob". So... I guess we need to figure out what the correct format should be?

I will said that the patch of the author of Bombono DVD is the good. Since we have had his patch for the DVD creation we have had none problems here or in the forum about this problem. A lot of Authoring softwares (in fact all under Devede) were not understanding this format and need to convert the file created.
Personally, i will keep his work. That's work and well.

I am thinking that yes but if you 'd like to have an autorun (i.e. your dvd is launched in your DVD player you must use an authoring software like Devede. This one will create a basic structure enough to launch it when it will be in.
