Bug Description

Binary package hint: silo

Package silo provides only sparc architecture, which is no longer supported in Ubuntu. There is no reason to ship this package anymore.

I asked you on IRC not to do this. Why did you do it anyway?

(Background: there is no point removing source packages based on which architectures we're currently building. It's just busy-work.)

Also, this will be problematic if we ever need to reintroduce the architecture in future. (Not that there are any plans for this at the moment, but it's not a good idea to rule anything out.)

Yes, we have discussed about it, but I would to clean up archive. You didn't use argument that maybe in future we will reintroduce support for sparc architecture - it sounds more reasonable. I thought that if Ubuntu is dropping support for any architecture, then support won't be recovered anymore.

I don't mind people disagreeing with me (obviously!), but if you do,
please could you actually discuss it with me rather than just ignoring
me and going ahead anyway? I'm not hard to reach.
