Bug Description

Using the latest Edgy beta on a dell inspiron 600m laptop, the right alt key does not work. If i press the left alt key, it does allow keyboard shortcuts, but the right key does not. I checked that this is not a hardware issue.

This is a possible duplicate of bug 63365.

Ben, can you please try something for me?

Run `xev` from a console. A window pops up. Press the right alt key down, and then release it. Then, without putting the mouse cursor in that window, close it out by clicking the "x". Post the last two paragraphs of the output here. They should start with "Keypress event," and "KeyRelease event."

If you get similar output to what I just posted in bug 63365, then this is a duplicate of that bug. Thanks

See that ISO_Level3_Shift in there? The key is showing up as a shift instead of an alt. Definitely a duplicate of bug 63365. Marking such. Please continue discussion on that bug from now on.

Thanks.
