epiphany complaining “wiki.ubuntu.com” requires an encrypted connection

“wiki.ubuntu.com” requires an encrypted connection.
The document could not be loaded because encryption support is not installed.

after closing epiphany and opening it again it will happily show me the page.

i can reproduce it by launching epiphany by clicking a thunderbird https link. if epiphany is aready running theen it work fine.
