Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

Folders in the folder view pane are no longer being displayed. I have 3 IMAP accounts, hey all seem to be loading as says things like "connecting to mail.blah.com" down the bottom after "getting mail" for all accounts.

This has happened twice in the past week. I think it might be something to do with some setting as the last time it happened I re setup Thunderbird and it worked until it happened again.

I was using the package 3.0.10+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 and it also does it using thunderbird_3.1.7~hg20101102r5838+nobinonly-0ubuntu1~umd1~lucid_amd64.deb.

I expect that all my folders and smart folders should appear in the folders pane.

Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04

I have Thunderbird 6.0 and Oneiric Alpha 2 installed.
Since I installed Oneiric I have this problem.
When I log on and open Thunderbird, the left pane does not display all my mail accounts. (image-1)
After re-opening it various times I get the mail accounts, but they are all closed, if I try to expand them they do not expand (image-
).
After trying to close and re-open thunderbird various times I get my accounts, but with the preview pane opened, I have to press F8 to make it go away.

I found that renaming the "extensions" folder under my thunderbird profile folder makes my mail account's folders re-appear.
Obviously I do not have my add-ons any more.

After using my PC a couple of times with the extensions folder renamed, I starded having the same problem again, so I renamed the extensions-old to extensions again, a I can se my mail accounts now, so probably the previous comment is not right.
