hangs on "bad" files when adding songs

Binary package hint: pykaraoke

When adding music files, most notably from Sound Choice, the application hangs on a presumed damaged file (I would like to know if this is a file naming or format issue as it applies to entire folders containing 10-15 songs from Sound Choice and other vendors). The hang is severe and will not respond to cancel or close, nor will "Xkill" work, I must logout and login again to clear it.

Note: This problem did not occur in the 0.7.2 release, however the files were not listed when the scan was finished - they appeared to be skipped.

I am willing to send some of the affected files for evaluation/testing if needed. I would rather not simply delete the affected files as there are hundreds of them and I really want to use them if possible. These files are usable in Sax and Dotty for Windows

Ubuntu 10.10 normal release
affects both 32 and 64 bit releases.

Please feel free to send some examples to <email address hidden>. There were changes made in 0.7.3 which improved support for international characters in filenames - it sounds like there may have been some side effect with these particular files/filenames.
