Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

I used DeVeDe to make a dvd iso and was trying to burn it to the dvd but it said something about "error, can't not write" And I don't thing the problem is with DeVeDe. I have never been able to write a dvd or back up a dvd to another dvd within Linux in the 1 year I've used it. And I've gone through pretty much every dvd ripping software that is in the Ubuntu Software Center and eachone either is confusing to use or does not have a good quality output video, or it just doesn't finish at all cause it freezes or has an error. And this is also true of dvd authoring software, I've tried all the ones I can find that allow me to create a dvd menu and none of them work. I have the non-DRM avi video. What is so difficult about burning that to a dvd so I can watch it on a player? This really needs to be worked out and maybe choose or write better software cause this is getting to be un-acceptable short coming of Linux. Despite my love for open source and the community.

Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
