default grub has no splash, and reminds me of dos 3.0

Bug Description

By default, grub in edgy looks like dos 3.0 with white text and a black background.

Installing grub-splashimages, and *manually* adding to /boot/grub/menu.lst: "splashimage (hd0,1)/grub/splashimages/fiesta.xpm.gz" I get a nice spash screen that doesn't scare my girlfriend.

Are there good reasons we don't install this by default? Or install the package, and just comment out the "splashimage" line like is done with "#color cyan/blue white/blue"?

Thanks.
