    I confirm the issue. After using group by we can sort the records with other fields but we can not sort the records with the fields by which the records are grouped.

IMHO this makes grouping almost unsuable for humans for long lists -

imagine grouping some 100 products or customers ..... and displaying these results unsorted ....
please rethink this issue.

Hello Ferdinand,

You are 100% right, It worked few days back the reason was we had the handling of the sorting part at client.
but since then we removed completely the sorting part from the client and moved it to framework. So in this new improvement we just allowed child records to be sorted if a user click on the column other then group by and we intensionally ignored the click on any column that is present in the group by list.

we will surely improve the sorting on group by column click.

I do not understand this - why removing a working feature ?

the grouping now is useless in day to day life.

It looks like this is important before release of version 6, and should default to sort by name. Is this in the requirements to be completed before release?

yes, its there in the requirements to be completed before V6 and the sorting will be default by the group by field
