Maybe it's good to notice that it's indeed possible to understand what's meant here with some experience - some further explanation would be nice especially for people who don't - like a tooltip that occurs when hovering the text next to the check buttons which explains that the reduction occurs when unplugging the laptop and the dimming after a special amount of time (what time?), if both enabled additionally to the reduction setting.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue?
