gnome-power-manager does not allow to view remaining *percentage* of battery power left

It is not possible to view the remaining *percentage* of battery power left as of Ubuntu 10.10 - up to 10.04 it was possible to just hover the icon in order to watch a tooltip that has the percentage value in it.
