Bug Description

Binary package hint: gparted

Ubuntu 10.10. gparted doesn't work with a live usb, created with ubuntu 10.10 usb-creator-gtk.

I have a EeePC 1000H

I have created a live ubuntu 10.10 usb with ubuntu 10.10 usb-creator-gtk.

After I started the PC with the ubuntu 10.10 live usb, and I try to run gparted, I get the following error:

-------------------------------
sudo gparted
libparted: 2.3:

glibmm-ERROR **:
unhandled exception (type std::excenption) in signal handler:
what: basic_string::_S_create

aborting...
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$

------------------------------------
Also I tried to create an ubuntu 10.04 live usb with ubuntu 10.10 usb-creator-gtk, and it crashed when I try to run the live usb.

This looks like a duplicate of the following problem:

gparted crash at start: glibmm-ERROR **
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gparted/+bug/617885

This problem is resolved in the upstream GParted 0.7.0 release.
