Weird, looks like you didn't have gcc installed for some reason, so it couldn't build the kernel driver:

The C compiler 'cc' does not appear to be able to

your Linux distribution's gcc and libc development
packages installed.

Did you end up finding a way to work around this? Or, do you have additional information as to why gcc would not have been present?
Since it appears to be a build system issue I'm bumping this bug to dkms.
