Bug Description

Binary package hint: simple-scan

When scanning multi-page documents, it would be useful to be able to select more than one page for manipulation. For example, I recently had to scan a 20+ page document with a scanner's document feeder. Because there was a wrinkle at the top of all of the pages in the document, I had to scan them all upside down in order for them to go through the document feeder.

Desired behavior: It would have been convenient to have a menu item under an Edit menu, "Select All," to be able to select all of the pages at once, then press the rotate button twice to flip all of the pages right side up at once. Alternatively, one should be able to select one page, then click on another page while the control button is pressed to highlight two pages at once, or click on another page with the shift key pressed to selected several pages in a row.

It would also be useful to be able to crop multiple pages simultaneously, since Simple Scan doesn't seem to correctly detect the paper size. It would work like this:

Click Edit->Select All
Click Crop button, or right-click on one of the pages for a contextual menu
Select the crop size
Move the crop area on one page to the proper position, and the crop area would simultaneously move on all of the other pages.

This would be an easy way to crop all the pages at once, and would be a useful workaround until Simple Scan is able to detect page sizes properly.

+1 on cropping multiple pages simultaneously. I recently had to scan many pages of a specific custom size that didn't show up on the list. I'd like to be able to either specify a custom size to scan, or select multiple pages to crop the same way.
