Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu 10.10
Evolution: 2.30.3
Hardware: EeePC 1005HA

On scrolling or clicking on a evolution window object (icon, textbox etc.), window always moving some pixel to left, right, up or down. It's horrible on catching an object. Actions on evolution can be only handled via keyboard.
Other programs don't show this behaviour.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

Please also execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 668552

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

Ubuntu-bug didn't work last time. Created bug report but couldn't send it to launchpad. Probably this is a problem when changing from company's proxy server to private no proxy connection systemwide.
But seems to work with your apport-collection command afterwards.

Yes, this is reproducable.
Case 1:
1. Open the inbox view in evolution.
2. Go to the mail viewing section on the right bottom and click on the vertical scroll buttons. Window should move some pixels right, next time some pixels left and so on.

Case 2:
1. Create a new mail
2. Show the attachment bar. It's hiding title and menu bar, complete window is moving a lot of pixels up. See screenshot attached.
3. E.g. then click on the CC text box. Title and menu bar are shown again because complete window is moving the same number of pixels down. But instead of activating the cursor in the CC text box, it shows the senders listing as if you have clicked into the from list box (No screenshot possible).
And so on. You can't get to the object you want via mouse. You have to do it via keyboard to handle it.
