Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

The ABNT (Brazilian) keyboard (X11 layout "br") has both "," (comma) and "." (period) keys in the numeric pad. Comma is below "3", while period is to the right of "6". These keys produce distinct keycodes, as reported by `xev`:

KeyPress event, serial 31, synthetic NO, window 0x5a00001,
        root 0x15a, subw 0x0, time 18288752, (880,578), root:(2164,601),
        state 0x10, keycode 91 (keysym 0xffac, KP_Separator), same_screen YES,
        XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (2c) ","
        XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (2c) ","
        XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyPress event, serial 34, synthetic NO, window 0x5a00001,
        root 0x15a, subw 0x0, time 18289384, (880,578), root:(2164,601),
        state 0x10, keycode 129 (keysym 0xffae, KP_Decimal), same_screen YES,
        XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (2e) "."
        XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (2e) "."
        XFilterEvent returns: False

All programs get this correctly, with the notable exception of OpenOffice.org, which produces a "," (comma) when any one of these keys are pressed.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Press "." (period) in OOo Writer.

Expected results:
A "." (period) is produced.

Actual results:
A "," (comma) is produced.

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
