Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
When using openchrome xorg driver with composite enabled on kwin, kdeinit4 crashes after login. To fix the problem it's necessary to disable composite feature on /usr/share/
# lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. P4M890 [S3 UniChrome Pro] (rev 02)
The bug can be reproduced on any fresh new installation of Kubuntu 10.04 LTS with composite enabled on kwin. The driver version is:
# dpkg -l xserver-
ii xserver-
It seems to be a bug on the driver itself. However, just the X client crashes and nothing is shown on the xsever log. .xsession-errors will be attached.
