Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

Have tried to run various administrative tasks on a Maverick/10.10 system when logged into it with "ssh -X user@system" Am unable to get any GUI applications to run.

for example, running "gksudo -l" will show these errors on the terminal window where I have run that:

===========================================================================
GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server; the most common cause is a missing or misconfigured D-Bus session bus daemon. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Error connecting: Connection refused)

I will get a popup window to give the command I want to run, after which it will prompt me for my password. After that, I get a popup error which says:

===========================================================================
Failed to run gnome-terminal as user root.

The underlying authorization mechanism (sudo) does not allow you to run this program. Contact the system administrator.

Running this command locally as the same user works with no problem.
