Thinkpad never exits from sleep

Bug Description

I closed the lid on my ThinkPad T61p and when I opened it it didn't recover from sleep. The sleep button just continually flashes. I haven't had a problem with this for quite a while but there were kernel updates recently and I think it might be related. This is for Lucid Lynx.
